Liège & Basketball makes you discover the new big man of Belleflamme, Trussardi Ferreira. Interview.

When did you start to play basketball and in which club did you play?
I start playing basketball when i was 17 years old at BC Boemerang. It is a small basketball club near my village. I am very thankfull for what they did for me. This it the place where i fell in love with basketball.
Why did you decide to go to Belleflamme for next season?
After a good season in Maastricht, I was ready for a next challenge. I was suprised how Belleflamme found me, because i never trained for them. That showed me how much they really wanted me. When I went to watch their practice they welcomed me with open arms and i felt very loved. It is a great team with a good coach and i can wait to put on the jersey and represent Belleflamme.
What are your goals for tne next season?
My goal for next season is to grow and to learn a lot, so that i can be a better basketball player. And the most important thing also to have fun while i am playing. My other goal will be to stay in D3 for the next season. I heard the good news that we will get a second chance in D3.
Do you know a little bit the basketball in Belgium and in Liège?
This will be the first time playing in Belgium and Liege. I always heard that basketball is better and more alive in Belgium. This is a main reason that I wanted to play in Belgium.
What kind of player are you?
I am not a normal big man. I am an athletic big man who can do a little bit of everything on the court.
What do you love in basketball?
The sound when the ball touches the ground, the sound when the ball goes through the net. The energy of the audience when you score, dunk or blocks someone. You can say I love everything about basketball haha.
